Our story

More than another fitness studio.

Selah Pilates & Wellness was born from a desire to create something more than just another fitness studio. Founder Leah Rodgers, a lifelong mover and educator, began her Pilates journey through Club Pilates' 500-hour Comprehensive Teacher Training. When the pandemic cut her apprentice hours short, she saw it as an opportunity to dive deeper into the professional world of Pilates.

That led her to Stott Pilates certification — specializing in sports medicine-based Pilates and injury prevention — and to REAL PILATES with Alycea Ungaro, a 600-hour Classical Pilates teacher training rooted in the legacy teachings of Joseph Pilates and Romana Kryzanowska.

Leah's personal journey shaped Selah's mission. Following the sudden passing of her mother, she sought a fitness approach that wasn't about aesthetics but about strength, stability and longevity. Selah was founded to provide a space where movement is more than exercise — it's a tool for lifelong wellness.

Selah

A pause. A breath. A deliberate rest between movements — the space where the work actually lands.

Precision

Fewer repetitions, done well. We teach alignment first so strength has somewhere to build.

Every Body

New to movement, returning from injury, or training for sport — the method meets you where you are.
