FAQs

Good to know.

Getting started

Do you offer a discount on my first class?

Yes — we offer an introductory rate for new clients, both a special Mat offer and a special Reformer offer.

I've never done Pilates — where do I start?

We recommend starting with a one-on-one session with one of our instructors, or joining one of our beginner-level group classes.

I have an injury — where should I start?

If you're dealing with an injury, managing a chronic condition or recovering from surgery, start with a private one-on-one session before joining a group class. Call (228) 219-2788 or email contact@selahpilates.com.

How early should I arrive?

Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your first session so we can get you checked in. After your first visit, 5–10 minutes ahead is plenty.

What should I wear and bring?

Fitted, comfortable clothing you can move freely in — avoid leggings with zippers or buckles, and secure hair with a tie rather than clips. Bring grip socks, a hand towel and a water bottle with a sealed lid.

Bookings & cancellations

How do I book or cancel a class?

All classes are booked and cancelled online through Mindbody or the Selah Pilates app. Classes must be booked in advance and cancelled at least 24 hours ahead to avoid a late cancellation fee.

What are your late cancel and no-show policies?

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Cancel in time and your class credit returns to your package. No-shows, or cancellations inside 24 hours, incur a fee or deduct the class credit.

What if I'm late?

Studio doors are locked during class time. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late we may not be able to let you in — call or text if you're running behind.

Pricing & memberships

What pricing options do you offer?

Drop-in rates, class packs and memberships. If you're unsure which suits you best, get in touch — we're happy to help you find the right fit.

Do memberships have long-term commitments?

All memberships run on a three-month autodraft recurring agreement. Cancelling early incurs an early cancellation fee; certain memberships have additional terms shown at payment.

Privates & group events

What's the difference between a private and semi-private?

A private is one-on-one with your instructor. A semi-private is for two people — a good option if you'd like to train with a friend or family member.

How do I book a private session or group event?

For privates, birthdays, bachelorette parties and teambuilding, contact us at (228) 219-2788 or contact@selahpilates.com.

Are private sessions good for injury recovery?

Yes — for most clients with an injury or chronic condition it's where we recommend starting. You'll need clearance from a medical doctor.

Studio etiquette

Shoes and socks?

No shoes in the main studio — there are cubbies at the entrance. Clean grip socks are suggested for all reformer classes, or clean feet.

Phones and filming?

Please switch your phone to silent before you enter the building; we share the space with treatment rooms and sound carries. No filming during class — afterwards is fine if time allows.

How do I find the right room?

We share a building with other practitioners and some doors lead into treatment rooms. Double check which studio your class is in, or message us before you arrive.
